Umberto Celli
Full Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law of Ribeirão Preto of the University of São Paulo (FDRP/USP), of which he was also director in the period 2013/2017.
He has a master's degree, doctorate and professorship in International Law from the Faculty of Law of USP (Largo São Francisco). “Master of Philosophy” in International Law from the University of Nottingham, England. Guest professor at the University Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) (2009), the Faculty of Law of Buenos Aires (2010) and the Università Degli Studi di Padova (Italy) (2016). He was coordinator of the UNCTAD Virtual Institute at USP.
Coordinator of the Brazilian part at BRICS of the research project “Principles of BRICS Contract Law”. Former member of the List of Arbitrators (Panelists) of Brazil at the World Trade Organization (WTO). Academic observer of the WTO negotiations on trade in services (2005/2008), as a guest of the Brazilian Mission to the WTO, in Geneva. Member of the IEG (International Experts Group) of the “Forum on Trade, Environment & SDGs (TESS), Geneva. Consultant and lawyer.
