NACE IRI Collection

The NACE CNV Brasil collection aims to organize, preserve and make available the documents gathered by the Support Center for Culture and Extension Activities on the National Truth Commission (NACE CNV-Brasil). The collection is made up of national and foreign documentation produced between 1964 and 1988 about the military dictatorship, with emphasis on North American diplomatic documents recently released for access.

The Collection “The United States and the Dictatorship” is still being organized, the documents will be released gradually as cataloging progresses. The collection is made up of five thousand digitized documents.

All documents are in PDF format, available for download and have undergone an automatic OCR tool making them searchable. However, as it is an automated process, text recognition is not accurate and errors may occur.

The original reference code of the documents appears in the Related sources area: existence and location of the originals.
